Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Tammineni Seetaram barred entry of representatives of three news channels into the Assembly for alleged "violation of established norms". Representatives of ETV, ABN Andhra Jyothy and TV5 -- the three satellite television news channels considered to be pro-TDP, have been barred from entering the Legislature building.

The channels were providing live coverage from the media point while the session was going on which was "against the established norms". It has been brought to the notice of the Speaker by Government Chief Whip G srikanth Reddy. The speaker barred the entry of the channel's representatives into the Assembly until an explanation is given for the lapse.

On the other side, the Government is contemplating the idea to give the live telecast rights of the Assembly to Sakshi, which is the media owned by the Chief Minister himself. Sakshi will supply the feed to the News Channels with some delay. The decision on this will be taken very soon.
