YS jagan Mohan Reddy's Government has brought all the existing projects in Amaravati to a standstill immediately after coming to Power. Moreover, only a paltry amount is allocated to the Capital in the first budget tabled by the Government. This silence of the Chief Minister puts the future of around 28,074 farmers who came forward to give 34,010 acres of lands for the Capital in a fix. Minister Botsa has created a sense of fear in the people about Capital Change and also forced the farmers on roads.

jagan is keeping away from the media to evade this question and now finally, there is some timeline for the clarity over Amaravati. The Chief Minister has appointed an expert Committee that includes members from india with experience in urban planning. They have been asked to undertake a review within six weeks of the developmental plans initiated so far by the YSRCP government and suggest a comprehensive development strategy for all-round development including in Amaravati.

The experts include Prof. Dr. Mahaveer, Professor of Planning, Dean (Academic), School of Planning and Architecture, New delhi, Dr anjali Mohan, Urban and Regional Planner, Prof. Shivananda Swamy, CEPT, Ahmedabad, Prof K.T. Ravindran, SPA (Retd), delhi School of Architecture, delhi and Dr. K.V. Arunachalam, Retd. Chief Urban Planner, Chennai. An environmental and flood management expert will be co-opted to look into the allegations of flood-threat and damage to the environment.
