According to sources NASA has been trying to re-establish communication with Indian lander Vikram, along with ISRO, after losing communication while landing on Moon's south Pole in the wee hours of September 7. Recently NASA has now sent hello messages to vikram as part of its trails and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, through its deep space network ground stations, had transmitted a radio frequency to vikram in order to re-establish contact and this process will continue until 21 September.

Furthermore in the early hours of September 7th, the lander vikram had lost communication with the ground stations during its final descent, just 2.1 km above the lunar surface. Meanwhile two days later, ISRO confirmed that the lander has been located on the lunar surface and it was not crashed. Further the orbiter of Chandrayaan-2's camera which is circling the moon has confirmed the lander being in a single piece.

Moreover both NASA and ISRO are trying their best to connect with vikram lander which is lying up there motionless. Presently that NASA sending Hello messages, scientists are waiting for the intended outcome. Perhaps with just a span of 14 days left from September 7, the hopes of getting back to vikram are indeed getting bleak.
