Dr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, former Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh assembly has died. He committed suicide at his residence in hyderabad. He was rushed in a critical condition to the Basavatarakam cancer hospital but the doctors could not save him. He was 72 and is survived by wife, two sons, and a daughter. Telangana Police have registered a case of suspicious death and are investigating the case.
Meanwhile, a relative of Kodela, Kancheti Saibabu filed a complaint with Sattenapalli Police that Kodela called him a few times in the last few days and told him that his son, Shivaram is tormenting him mentally and physically to transfer the entire assets on his name. "He requested me to save him from Shivaram. I tried to convince Shivaram on this issue couple of times but he did not budge," Saibabu told in his complaint.
This came as a shock to TDP and Kodela Supporters. The mortal remains of Kodela will be shifted to Guntur TDP Office tomorrow and the final rites will take place tomorrow afternoon in Narasaraopeta.
