Sources from Telangana stated that CM kcr and AP CM YS jagan are likely to meet on September 24th over issues pertaining to the Telugu states. Meanwhile the agenda of this meeting is the interlinking of rivers and addressing the remaining bifurcation issues. Hence along with the CMs, irrigation officials of both the states and other officials are expected to participate.

Previously in the past a committee was formed to study the case of diverting Godavari water to srisailam dam. Furthermore irrigation officials of Telangana and AP were made part of this committee but they proposed completely opposite recommendations. Hence AP officials said that Telangana government should allot land for diverting the Godavari water while Telangana officials said AP should build reservoirs and expand their canal size.

Moreover Telangana CM kcr is said to be pushing this committee to come up with new proposals before he meets his counterpart. Further kcr is in thoughts of using Godavari water to the extend for Telangana and this might affect the Pattiseema project, so kcr and jagan are considering announcing Pattiseema as a joint project of the Telugu states. Perhaps this decision may invite controversy and Andhra Pradesh TDP is questioning YSRCPs stand which had opposed Pattiseema project in the past.
