The first-ever FTP for Women's Cricket!!!

A historic decision was seen from the ICC on Tuesday. For the first time in the history of cricket, the Women's Future Tours program has been announced. According to the Future Tour Pragram, the indian women's cricket team has to play 65 international matches in three years. The indian women's team will also host two Tests at home against england and australia in 2023-24. The ICC has announced the FTP schedule to run from May 2022 - april 2025.

The indian women's cricket team will play 27 ODIs and 36 t20 Internationals over three years, which included three ODIs and as many T20Is played on the tour of sri lanka in May this year. india will host New Zealand, South Africa, west indies and ireland at home, while australia, england, and bangladesh are to tour these countries for series. During this, the indian team has to play a series of 5 T20I matches against australia at the end of this year.

The Australian team will tour india during the summer of 2023-24 for one Test, three ODIs and three T20Is. The indian team will tour australia in the winter of 2025-26, where it will play one Test, three ODIs and three t20 matches. A total of 301 matches (seven Tests, 135 ODIs and 159 t20 matches) will be played in this three-year period, apart from the two t20 World Cups and the ODI world cup in ICC tournaments.

"This is a huge moment for the women's game," ICC General Manager of cricket Wasim Khan said in a statement.
