Elephant herd near sabarimala sanctuary.. Devotees got panic!!!

Devotees have been suffering from wild elephants roaming the Pandi Thavalam area for hours. A herd of wild elephants roaming the sabarimala sanctuary and its environs has alarmed ayyappa devotees. Similarly, the authorities are in a state of panic over the snakes that come and go as uninvited guests in lodgings.

Sabarimala Iyappan temple is located in a dense forest and the wildlife sanctuary in and around it is not new. But there is no alternative opinion that anyone will be frightened when they see it up close. Usually, when the sabarimala pathway opens for Mandala Puja, the devotees gather to pay homage to Iyappan. Wild animals like elephants do not come close to the sanctuary as there will be a lot of human movement. But, the current situation is different. Once the night walk is closed, the occasional herd of wild elephants comes with their cubs and camp in the Pandi Thavalam area near Sannidanam.

Devotees have been suffering from wild elephants roaming the Pandi Thavalam area for hours. Meanwhile, there has been an increase in the invasion of snakes as uninvited guests inside the lodgings of officers and staff. On the premises of the Darshan Complex, the cobra entered and stirred the area for some time. Forest officials were reluctant to approach the snake and went in search of it with the people who had experience in catching the snake. The cobra slipped away before they could pick it up. Those in the hotel lost sleep over the incident.
