India made 146 runs for the loss of 3 wickets on the second day of the WTC finals after the entire first day has been lost due to heavy showers. indian opening pair Gill and Rohit controlled the swing and also attacked lose deliveries and kept the run flowing. But Kiwis kept bowling tight lengths and attacked the openers and all of a sudden both of them went back to the hut for outswingers.


India's new wall Pujara showed grit by not scoring any run for the first 35 deliveries. But he fell for 8 runs when Boult bowled a terrific inswinger.
