Mumbai airport customs officials have grasped two foreign watches worth Rs 5 crore from cricketer hardik Pandya.

It was reported that the watches were impounded from hardik pandya at the mumbai airport on his move back from Dubai.

In this case, hardik pandya disputed this, Two watches were not usurped from me. I only had one watch deserving Rs 1.5 crore.

That and when I arrived at the airport I voluntarily went to the customs officials and informed them that I had brought the watch.

But, on social media, the information has been leaked as if I was hiding the watch with the intention of cheating on something.

"I bought that watch in Dubai. I was ready to pay the toll-no stuff where I was told to repay it. As soon as I told them about the watch they asked me for the relevant documents.

I have given the documents. They are causing a tariff evaluation for it. I'm going to pay the tax as soon as they estimate and say the amount.

I uphold the rule of law. I hold all government agencies in high regard. My inquiries were met with cooperation from the Customs Department. I'm also giving them my whole attention.

The rumours that I have transgressed the law are false. Similarly, the value of the watch I brought was Rs 5 crore which is incorrect, he said in a statement."

Hardik Pandya's brother krunal pandya was interrogated at the mumbai International airport last year by the Customs for possession of valuables, including gold, without documents.

Last year, hardik Pandya's brother krunal pandya was stopped at mumbai airport by the DRI for having possession of undeclared gold.
