The 22nd match of the ICC cricket World Cup took place between the arch-rivals india and pakistan. As expected, the weather played a spoilsport. Vijay shankar struggled to connect the ball. In the end, Rain paused the innings when india was 305/4 at 46.4 overs. So if india doesn't bat again, pakistan will have to chase 327 in 46 overs and if pakistan has a 20-over chase, the target will be 184.
But, the weather got cleared and india finished the innings for 336/5. pakistan was given a target of 337. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar got injured and he left the field and shocked everyone. But, Vijay shankar nailed wicket off his first ball. But, Fakhar Zaman and Babar propelled the team to safety with a 100-runs partnership.
Kuldeep broke it with a ripper. Then he got rid of Fakhar Zaman too. pakistan struggled at 126/3 at 25.2 overs. hardik pandya got rid of Hafeez and Shoaib Malik in two quick back-to-back balls and pushed them into a pitfall. pakistan ended with 140/5 at the end of 30 overs. The play stopped again at 35 overs when pakistan managed 166/6 when the D/L score was 252. When the play resumed it was a 40-over game. pakistan was asked to get 130 from 30 balls. In the end, pakistan lost by 89 runs.
