WhatsApp, owned by Facebook, continuously enhances its app on each operating system with the goal of improving security as well as a feature set. Whenever a new version is released, the minimal hardware needs to perform the new features rise. It has been learned that outdated cellphones would no longer be able to operate the Meta-owned messaging app. According to rumours, whatsapp will cease to support select Android, iOS, as well as KaiOS devices operating on older Operating systems as of today, and certain smartphones may be unable to use the programme.

WhatsApp has revealed a list of Android phones from a variety of manufacturers, including  LG, Samsung, ZTE, Huawei, Sony, Alcatel, and others.

From today, devices running Android 4.0.4 and previous versions will no longer be able to use Whatsapp. It's worth noting that the Icecream Sandwich upgrade was first launched in 2011. When it comes to iOS, whatsapp will be compatible with iOS 10 and higher versions. From Nov 1, any iphone operating an older version of iOS would not work. whatsapp might no longer be supported on apple iphone 6S, iphone 6S Plus, and apple iphone SE 1st generation.
