Massive fire breaks out at the Avighna Park tower in mumbai, killing one individual who fell from the 19th level.


A man was dangling from the balcony of the 19th floor of a mumbai building when it caught fire and he died.


Building fire in Mumbai

On Friday, a 30-year-old man perished after falling from the 19th story of a high-rise building in South Mumbai. The man can be seen dangling from the balcony of a 19th-floor house in a video of the incident. He also appears to be falling to the ground.

The deceased has been named Arun Tiwari, who was declared brought dead, according to KEM Hospital Deputy Dean Dr. Parveen Bangar. Huge fire and black smoke balloons can be seen on that floor in the video of the incident.


At around 11:50 a.m., the mumbai fire Brigade (MFB) received a call from Avighna Park Tower on Curry Road. The incident has been classified as a level-4 fire, according to the fire service. 

Level 4 fires are considered "very dangerous." Even as black smoke billowed from the structure, firefighters made their way inside. Several people have been recovered successfully, according to fire officials. 


Kishori Pednekar, Mumbai's mayor, also arrived at the scene and met with fire and police authorities to assess the situation.
