A clip of an elephant mother attempting to wake up her sleeping baby has taken the world by storm. The mother elephant attempts unsuccessfully to wake up the sleeping baby elephant. The elephant caretakers are the ones who probably come to her aid. With over 392k views on twitter, the video has gone viral. The video was shot in Prague Zoo in 2018 and is from that year and it was recently shared by the twitter account Buitengebieden.



An elephant infant can be seen sleeping peacefully on the grass in the 48-second video. The mother attempts unsuccessfully to rouse up the infant. Then two elephant keepers appear and assist her by gently coaxing the baby awake. The video title read, "Mother elephant can't wake her kid who is fast asleep and requests her caretakers for assistance (sic)."


In the comment threads area, netizens expressed their opinions on this wonderful footage of the mother elephant and her child. “You suppose the mother elephant has a sixth feeling that something is awry when she can't wake up her kid. So you're concerned as well. The baby appeared to be in a comatose state. He probably just drifted off (sic) because it was nice and cosy and quiet,” a user said.
