The Airbus A340 made its first landing in antarctica and made its first history in Antarctica. This is the first time an Airbus plane has landed in Antarctica.

The expedition was led by Captain Carlos Mirpuri from Cape Town, South Africa. The group left antarctica and returned to Cape Town.

The total distance of this voyage is 2500 nautical miles and a duration of a total of 10 hours.

Never before have big planes as Airbus landed in Antarctica. The plane, which is currently landing, is the first flight.

The Airbus A340 is equipped with the highest security features. So they chose this flight for the trip to Antarctica.

This aircraft was selected considering the extreme climate prevailing in Antarctica. This is a 4 engine aircraft. The company said in a statement that it had no problems with the trip and that it was a success.

A runway was also prepared for the aircraft to land. Even though it was not officially an airport, the terrain was adjusted to allow the plane to land.

Landing the plane on a runway completely icy and then taking off was the biggest challenge. However, no problems occurred. The runway was set to be nearly 3000 meters long.

This is not the first time flights have come to Antarctica. Earlier in 1928, George Hubert Wilkins, an Australian pilot, landed a Lockheed Vega 1 monoplane in Antarctica.

This was the first flight to Antarctica. William Randolph Hearst, the richest man in the United States, accepted the full cost of the flight.

After that, small planes come and go from time to time. Often groups of scientists come here. There is no such thing as an airport in Antarctica.

However, 50 landing sites and runways have been set up to facilitate the landing of aircraft and helicopters.

With the successful landing of one of the largest aircraft in antarctica for the first time, air traffic is expected to increase further and tourism to increase.
