Why do you like Shahrukh Khan?
This question came to mind after looking at the book 'Desperately Seeking Shahrukh'.
Shah Rukh is a 'charming' hero. In interviews, they told me that he was straightforward, honest and fun.
He also said that he liked the fact that he had no regrets about running after fame and money.
'We love him for the love he shows for women,' said one of my friends.
When author Shyana Bhattacharya asked a similar question to some women who are fans of Shah Rukh Khan, she also got the same answer.
'' In a world that always puts women in a kind of unfavourable situation, they share dreams, anxieties and uprisings that are inextricably linked with their romantic choices.
But, surprisingly there is an impact of economic inequalities on the stories of these female fans.
All this is nothing but a hasty survey... This is a favourite insider who has talked to young women, single women and married people many times in North india for almost two decades.
Among the women who shared their inner self in the case of Shah Rukh were Hindus, Muslims, Christians .. living happily ever after, housewives facing hardships, employees, retirees.
Despite their different backgrounds and circumstances, they are all the same as Shah Rukh fans.
