YSRTP leader YS sharmila is continuing her political campaign against the trs administration despite the lacklustre reception to her walk-feat (Paadayatra). After sharmila finishes her Paadayatra, she will concentrate on her party and the december 2023 assembly elections.

Where will sharmila contest is the major question. sharmila chose Paleru as her assembly district, according to khammam district YSRTP leader Lakkineni Sudheer Babu. The Paleru constituency representative, Beeravelli srinivas reddy, recognised Sudheer Babu's declaration. On the 19th of this month, a comprehensive gathering of the Paleru constituency has been organised in Nelakondapalli, according to both leaders.

But the congress party has a stronghold in Paleru. In the 2018 elections, INC candidate Kandala Upender reddy defeated Thummala Nageshwar Rao of the trs to win. Despite having a sizable tribal voting bank, the reddy community's leaders predominate here. According to YSRTP sources, sharmila believes that Paleru was the Congress' stronghold during his father's time as chief minister and that the absence of a strong leader in the congress following Ramreddy Venkatereddy's passing will be to her advantage when she runs in the upcoming assembly elections.

Internal conflicts within the ruling trs party may also give sharmila the upper hand. If she runs a vigorous campaign in the district and gains the support of the locals, she will undoubtedly become a member of the telangana assembly on her maiden foray into mainstream politics.
