On Sunday, Y.S. sharmila, the founder and president of the ysr telangana party (YSRTP), said that Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar reddy, the (undivided) chief minister of andhra pradesh, had been the victim of a conspiracy. On her telangana padayatra, sharmila made the shocking accusation that there are plots afoot to assassinate her as well. After helping the congress win the assembly elections for the second time in a row, Rajasekhar reddy lost his life in a helicopter crash in december 2009.

Sharmila spoke to the media in mahbubnagar and said: "A conspiracy led to the demise of Y.S. Rajasekhar reddy, and now there are attempts to assassinate me as well. But KCR, the chief minister of telangana, ought to keep in mind that I'm courageous and YSR's daughter." andhra pradesh chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister is Sharmila. In 2021, she broke off her relationship with her brother and founded the YSRT party as a political alternative for Telangana's citizens. She had just started a padayatra of the state and had already travelled 2000 kilometres on foot.

Sharmila claimed that the trs is governing the state in a Taliban-like manner and wondered why trs ministers and MLAs are afraid when she brings up the corruption issue. sharmila claimed that the telangana police are detaining everyone who criticises the trs government and suggested that the police force should be included into the trs party, which is currently in power.
