Suez Canal is one of the water ways which always stays busy with traffic. Suez Canal is constructed in egypt, which connects red sea and Mediterranean Sea. But now the traffic in and around this Canal is going to halt. The reason for this is, on tuesday a big cargo ship got stuck in the sea blocking the way to and for Suez Canal.
The Ever Green company container ship which blocked the Suez Canal is about 400mtrs long and 59 meter wide. The experts are saying that might be this had got stuck in the sand. Because of this almost 100 ships which travel between red sea and Mediterranean sea got stuck.
The Suez Canal is almost 193 kilometers long and through this Canal we have the largest Marine traffic through which many oil tankers will pass between Asia and Europe. In worlds economy every year almost 12 percent business is done through this Canal only. Every day almost 10 lakhs barrels of oil is transmitted. So as the Marine traffic is halted because of the Suez Canal blockage, may be the fuel prices in few countries might increase accordingly.
