S*xism in the Film Industry: radhika Apte's Experience??

In a recent interview, radhika Apte, who was most recently seen in Mrs Undercover, recounted seeing s*xism "quite a few times" in the film industry. The actor also spoke candidly about how society has evolved and how more individuals are speaking out against inequity.

We have all experienced misogyny, radhika admitted in her interview with Newschannel. A lady is unlikely to have never experienced it. I've encountered that quite a few times on a movie set in the past. There was no equal remuneration, men and women were treated differently, and everything revolved around the male actor.

Without a doubt, things are changing. It has been encouraging to witness individuals strive for equality. The best thing we can do is defend our own rights, acknowledge our differences and inequalities, and raise awareness, she added to Newschannel.

Contrary to popular belief, women can be misogynistic when they attempt to undermine other women, the andhadhun actor further noted. She continued, "Misogyny is not simply a man's issue. women are not exempt from misogyny. We were all raised in a particular manner. There is a lot of conditioning in the way we are raised, and that conditioning extends to how women treat one another and themselves.

Because of their own indoctrination, many women don't provide themselves the freedom and the right to perform certain things. It's about awareness, not blaming one gender in particular. The thought itself is the issue. We also say that this way of thinking needs to alter in the movie," radhika added to the outlet.
