Electric car (EV) manufacturer Eka Mobility has acquired the letter of Award (LOA) in consortium with Chartered Velocity for deploying nine-meter and 12-meter electric buses across rajasthan under the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme.


This big-scale deployment will span eight foremost cities -- Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bikaner, Bhilwara, and Jodhpur. The order includes 565 nine-meter and one hundred ten 12-meter electric buses.


The LOA for Rajasthan's 675 electric-powered buses follows the issuance of the letter of Confirmation of Amount (LOCQ) through Convergence Strength Offerings Ltd. (CESL) for electric-powered buses throughout India.

Rajasthan's bold move in the direction of electrification aligns perfectly with our imaginative and prescient vision of transforming how hundreds of thousands go back and forth each day and accelerating India's transition to a purer, greater, sustainable destiny," said Rohit Srivastava, enterprise head and leader growth officer, Eka Mobility.

This order comes shortly after Eka secured two fundamental contracts really worth approximately Rs 150 crore from the Uttar Pradesh kingdom street transport enterprise (UPSRTC) and an order for about Rs 400 crore from the nagpur Municipal enterprise (NMC).
