To prepare the budget report for the financial year 2023-24, an important consultation meeting is going to be held today among all the ministries and departments. The meeting will deliberate on the re-estimated levels of expenditure for the financial year 2023-24.This is the 5th budget statement of narendra Modi's 2nd regime and also the last budget of this 2.0 regime as the general elections will be held in April-May 2024. Due to this, there is a possibility that there will be too many programs depending on the welfare of the people. Similarly, Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman's 5th budget statement. Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Union Ministry of Labor and Employment, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Union Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, and Union Ministry of youth Affairs and sports will be present on the first day of the meeting.These 5 key ministries are to consult with the Finance Secretary and the Expenditure Secretary on the expenditure for the current financial year and the expenditure plans for the next financial year. This will be followed by discussions with other ministries till november 10. The RBI, World Bank, and various financial institutions have reduced India's economic growth from 7 percent to an average of 6.5 percent. Based on this, the budget estimates for the financial year 2023-24 have been calculated.
