It is anticipated that the sizable rally being held on saturday by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) on Decentralization in support of the Y S jagan Mohan reddy government's intention to establish three capital cities for the state may turn around the fortunes of the governing ysr congress party. The jagan government and YSRC are the driving forces behind the programme, despite the fact that the jac is officially hosting the demonstration with the intention of inciting pro-capital attitude among the residents of coastal Andhra.

The police apparatus and Viskahapatnam district administration are organising the rally while the leaders of the ruling party take the lead in organising masses from all across the state, including Rayalaseema. The chief minister's office's public relations department has itself informed the media that the YSRC is making a show of support for Visakhapatnam as the state capital. According to a release, "the MLAs, Ministers, and non-political jac members will hold a 3.5 kilometre 'Visakha Garjana' rally.

The event will begin at the Ambedkar statue outside the lic office and end with a gathering of the general public at the ysr statue next to rk Beach. The party asserts that about one lakh people will attend the massive "Garjana" event. party insiders claim that the chief minister is sure that the demonstration would spark a significant discussion in favour of three capitals, with Visakhapatnam serving as the executive capital. He believes it will create a welcoming environment for the YSRC in north coastal Andhra.
