16-year-old schoolgirl beaten to death...

Students were brutally thrashed by security forces in the school for refusing to sing a song in praise of supreme Leader ali Khamenei. A 16-year-old girl was also involved in this. Last week, this incident at a school in Iran's Ardabil city left the girl so badly injured that she died.

According to reports, security forces raided Shaheed Girls High school in Ardabil city of Iran. They tried to force schoolgirls to sing an anthem in honor of Iran's supreme leader, and 16-year-old Asra Panahi protested and was later assaulted.

The Coordinating Council of Iranian teachers Trade Unions issued a statement on wednesday saying Panahi later died in hospital. In this case, Iranian authorities denied responsibility for Asra's death, while her uncle claimed that her niece died of a heart condition.

Asra's death comes at a time when iran has been in turmoil since anti-government protests in the country a month ago. There protesters are protesting against the regime for the custodial death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was arrested by Morality police for not wearing a hijab.

There have also been reports that many young girls have died, relatives and human rights groups have blamed security forces for this. Since then, street protests have gripped many schools, where teenage girls have supported protests against the hijab law in classrooms and playgrounds.
