The supreme court on monday declined to revoke the anticipatory bail granted to senior telugu desam party leader and former minister Ponguru Narayana and others in the inner ring road alignment and amaravati city master plan case, dealing a blow to the andhra pradesh government. The state government's attorney was criticised by a division bench of the supreme court made up of Justices B R Gavai and Nagaratna for going before the high court even on minor issues out of political retaliation. The government could go before the lower court in response to the state government counsel's claim that Narayana and others were not helping with the case's investigation.
