Uttarakhand bans 5 Patanjali drugs...


Baba Ramdev and uttarakhand, famous for yoga all over the world, have a special relationship. Originally the yoga of haryana resident baba Ramdev was started in uttarakhand itself. After this, he established the Patanjali company here, which is promoting Ayurvedic medicines all over the world. Now in uttarakhand itself, baba Ramdev has suffered a setback. The uttarakhand government has banned the production and advertising of 5 medicines from Ramdev's company. 


According to media reports, this action has been taken by the uttarakhand authorities of Ayurvedic and Unani services on Patanjali Group's company divya Pharmacy after complaining about false propaganda about these medicines.

Action under the drugs and Magic Remedies Act

The report of The Hindu states that divya Pharmacy has been found guilty of breaking the rules of the 'Drugs and Magic Remedies Act' several times. After this Dr G.C.S Jangpangi, license officer of uttarakhand Ayurvedic and Unani services has written a letter to divya Pharmacy to stop the production of the medicine. He ordered the pharmacy to immediately stop the production of divya Madhugrit, divya Eyegrit Gold, divya Thyrogrit, divya BPgrit and divya Lipidom medicines. These medicines are used to keep diabetes, eye infection, thyroid, blood pressure and cholesterol under control.

In the report, quoting Dr. Jangpangi, it has been told that a team has been constituted to review the formulation seat of these medicines. divya Pharmacy has also been given a week's time to submit the revised label claim. Their production will be stopped till the formulation of medicines is approved by the concerned department.
