Director ashwin saravanan of "Maya" and "Game Over" fame is behind the film "Connect," starring Nayanthara, Sathyaraj, and Anupam Kher. Early screenings of the movie in chennai and hyderabad have generated favourable "word of mouth," notably on the technical aspects. Nayanthara is actively promoting the experimental movie, which she has sponsored and co-produced with her husband Vignesh Shivan.

She recently gave her first interview in a long time to talk extensively about the horror film. She asserts that the movie "Connect" combines jump scares with feelings. "I adore scary films. The Lady Superstar says, "Even though I'm a little afraid watching them, I'm still entertained. Nayan explains that the plot of "Connect" is about how a family handles an unbelievable circumstance during the Covid-19 shutdown in 2020. The story also emphasises the emotional turmoil inside a small girl and her terrified mother rather than just the gory repercussions.

The movie also subtly and movingly honours those who gave their lives protecting others during the pandemic. When the filmmaker decided to cast sathyaraj as Nayan's father, Nayan was delighted. The "GodFather" actress claims that he "exudes fatherly vibes." According to Nayan, Anupam Kher's portrayal as an exorcist in the film was a piece of cake for him. The "Simha" actress says, "I don't have scenes with him because my character is locked up at home and the story takes place via a Zoom video conversation.
