While the price of chicken meat used to be up to Rs.600 per kg, it is now being sold between Rs.750 to Rs.800 per kg. The price of broiler chicken has gone up to Rs.500 per kg. Beef price has increased from Rs.1000 to Rs.1100 per kg. Due to this, people are suffering a lot because they cannot afford to buy food.Karachi Milk Retailers Co-ordinator Waheed Ghadi said that more than 1000 milk shopkeepers are selling because of the increase in milk price. Our customers are common people. But due to the rise in price, milk has gone up to Rs.210 per liter, so people are suffering a lot, he said. Kamal Akhtar Siddique, owner of a poultry farm and general secretary of the wholesale organization, said that the price of live chicken meat is Rs. 600, while the meat alone is sold at Rs. 700 to Rs. 800 per kg. There is no other option but to raise the prices as the prices of the inputs have gone up, he said.Petrol price in pakistan has also increased by Rs.20 per liter. Due to this, from the common people to the middle-class families, have suffered a lot.
