New Admission Rules: 6 years in class-1...

National education Policy: The National education Policy's guidelines for school admission have been given to the states by the federal government.

The New education Policy raises the minimum age for enrollment in school from 6 to 14 years to 3 to 18 years. For children ages 3-6, the NEP integrates three years of previously unacknowledged pre-schooling into the academic programme.

we can keep pace with the studies after first grade

According to a senior official of the Ministry of education, with this policy, the child will get an education without any hindrance till the second class. This will also help in keeping pace with the studies above first class. For this reason, the Ministry has asked the States-Union Territories to make mutual coordination in the age and admission policy. In this, instructions have been given to keep the minimum age of admission in the first class at six years.

6 years of age is already applicable in many states

In many states in the country, the minimum age for admission in class-1 has already been kept at 6 years, but in other states, a child of 5 years is also being given admission. After the new change, there will be uniform rules in the whole country, so that children will get the same education everywhere.
