Congress resolution -A promise of new laws...

Sonia Gandhi, the chairwoman of the congress Parliamentary Party, and mallikarjun Kharge, the party's leader, attended the 85th congress Plenary assembly on friday in Raipur.

The political resolution of the 85th plenary of the congress party was capped by a promise of new laws against hate crimes and religious discrimination, a national election fund in place of the "fatally flawed and fully corrupt" electoral bonds, and steps to tighten the anti-defection law to stop the mass exodus of lawmakers, aside from the clarion call to "create every step to chase down, mobilise, and coordinate like-minded secular forces."

The resolution announced a new vision document for the national election and "the widest possible consensus" with all like-minded political parties to bring up the problem of EVMs with the election commission of india with a series of assembly elections this year and the lok sabha election in 2024.

According to the political resolution, which called for the establishment of a National election Fund to which anyone may contribute, money will be distributed to political parties in the course of elections "using a transparent and equitable criterion set forth by law." The bharatiya janata party has primarily benefited from the electoral bonds, which have been a significant source of contention and donations.
