Prominent Cinematographer turned director KV anand took his last breath today due to a heart attack. He was 54 years old. He is known for movies like 'Kana Kanden', 'Ayan', 'KO', 'Maatraan', 'Anegan', 'Kavan' and 'Kaapaan'. KV anand started his career as a photojournalist and soon be started assisting prominent Cinematographer PC Sreeram in movies like Gopura Vasalile, meera, Devar Magan, Amaran, and Thiruda Thiruda. 

Sreeram recommended his name for the malayalam movie Thenmavin Kombath in 1994 and KV anand bagged National Award for that movie. After he had a successful career over a decade as a cinematographer and after working in big movies like Minnaram, Chandralekha, Mudhalvan, josh, nayak, Boys, Khakee, and sivaji, anand made his directorial debut with the 2005 movie Kana Kandaen. 

His directorial success came with movies like Ayan, Ko, Maattrraan, Anegan, Kavan and Kaappaan. As soon as the news of his demise came out, lots of celebrities started posting about the huge loss. music director harris jayaraj shared on twitter, "unfortunate and extremely shock to hear this devastating News. RIP my friend KV Anand." Actor gautam karthik posted, "We’ve lost a wonderful creator. #KVAnand sir may you rest in peace. My condolences to the family."
