Currently, india is administering two vaccines for the people and they are Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN and Serum Institute's COVISHIELD. Recently, we reported about US Drug Administration Committee not allowing COVAXIN inside the USA as it never met their requirements and they never got enough data to approve the vaccine inside the country. 



Now, india has approved one more vaccine, 'NOVAVAX' and this US-based vaccine will work along with the Serum Institute of india to produce this vaccine. As per data, this vaccine has 90.4% efficiency in all the 3 phases of trials completed. Already, PM Modi revealed that india is doing some trials regarding Nasal spray of vaccines as well. 


The tie-up has done with Serum Institute as they are India's largest manufacturer of vaccines and the company will be manufacturing huge numbers of NOVAVAX by september month itself. As NOVAVAX is more efficient and effective than COVAXIN and COVISHIELD, this might be a magical remedy for this deadly virus and even the new delta variant is responding to this NOVAVAX vaccination. As of now, the Serum Institute is just waiting for the approval of the FDA. Serum Institute will be producing under the name COVOVAX.
