Despite lukewarm reviews and poor reputation, Rajinikanth's Annaatthe is performing rather well at the box office. The Covid-19 outbreak may have led to uncertainty in the release of the movie, but it has had little effect on its box office performance. people appreciate it, and the Annaatthe has now grossed Rs 225 crore globally. The movie, helmed by Veeram Siva, is a rural extravaganza with a large cast, and it's no surprise that ticket sales have been phenomenal.


Annatthe, a sun Pictures production, was released theatrically on november 4 in time for Diwali. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the film's production and distribution were delayed. The Rajinikanth-starrer has finally hit theatres throughout the world after nearly a year in the making. The film is performing particularly well in B and C theatres, with family audiences devouring it wholeheartedly, and the film has achieved its intended audience.


Rajinikanth recently opened up about the success of the movie on Hoote app and confessed that he loved Ajith's 'Viswasam' and that's how he decided to do a movie with Siva and when he narrated the script of 'Annaatthe' he was on tears and decided to act in it without any secondary thoughts and as expected the movie has been an all time blockbuster and the collections are a proof to it.
