Indian Railways take back saffron dress code for staffs

The saffron attire by the staff in the Ramayana special trains has been withdrawn by the indian railways after many objections from Sadhus were made saying that it had insulted the real culture of Hindus. The Railway department has informed that the dress code of the serving staff is now totally changed. They also added that it had regretted all the inconvenience caused till today. The present dress code has the professional attire for the serving staff. This move has been made after many sadhus complained that the saffron color dress is an insult to the Hindu religion and they also warned that they will stop the train on december 12th if this color dress code continued.

The Former general secretary, Avdeshpuri has been quoted saying that the saffron dress with sadhu-like turban and wearing necklaces and rudraksha(sacred seed) is seen as insulting the Hindus and its seers. He now welcomed this move by the indian railways taking back the saffron color attire.
The Ramayan train is seven-day travel from Safdarjung station and it covers 15 places during its journey. The train also has lavish restaurants and libraries.
