Schools and colleges have begun to reopen, at the same time, news of the spread of covid infection to college students has surfaced. Two hospitals - Dharwad Hospital and SDM college of Medical Sciences in karnataka were sealed and isolated on Thursday. This is because all 66 students who were vaccinated got covid. Similarly, 54 students studying at Veera Surendra Sai Medical college Hospital in Sambalpur, odisha have been affected with covid.

A total of 400 students studying at karnataka SDM Medical College. So far 300 people have been subjected to the covid test. Of those, 66 students have been confirmed to have the covid infection. A further 100 students have been subjected to the covid test. Their test results are yet to be announced. Speaking to reporters after visiting the premises, Dharwad Deputy Commissioner Nitish Patil told reporters, “All the 3,000 employees working on the premises will be tested and those who have been confirmed infected during the test will be treated. Food, medicine, and other essentials are being provided to the two sealed and isolated hotels, ”he said.



Similarly, 22 students studying at Veera Surendra Sai Medical college Hospital in Sambalpur, odisha, were affected with corona on Tuesday. That number rose to 54 as it rose to 34 on Wednesday, confirming another 20 infections in a single day. It is thought the infection may have spread due to a recent annual ceremony at the college. Affected students in Sambalpur have been admitted to the Vimsar Govt Division of Veera Surendra Sai Medical Science and Research Institute. Currently, live classes are suspended.

The maharashtra government has decided to reopen schools from Class 1 to Class 4 in rural areas and Classes 1 to 7 in urban areas from december 1. Schools in bhopal are already run with 50% of students. Permission has been granted to open schools and colleges in rajasthan with 100% students. The West bengal government has backtracked on its earlier decision to reopen schools and has now postponed the opening of schools.
