Confusion and Chaos prevails at Bengaluru airport

Chaotic scenes had been witnessed at Kempegowda international airport due to the new rules that are imposed by the Union government as the new variant Omicron stepped in. On december 1st, 2021, the Bengaluru airports had witnessed a very long queue as the new rules and guidelines imposed by the government that the passengers arriving at the international airports will have to get mandatory RT-PCR test. The pictures show passengers standing in a long queue without any physical distancing as more passengers were rushing to get the RT-OCR test done. Only four doctors and 25 staff were deployed and also one testing center to screen all the passengers from other countries.

            Many passengers shared their grief on twitter tagging the officials.
On december 1st, The Official from Bengaluru airport said that around 1228 passengers have arrived from the high-risk countries at the Bengaluru airport between 12 am to 12 pm. Many passengers have arrived who wanted to undergo RT-PCR testing and the provider who runs the laboratory had to delay the test results due to an overcrowding of passengers.
 The advisory also informed that in the future days, the lab will be scaled up to meet the increasing volume of passengers. More seating arrangements will be arranged for those who wait for RT-PCR results.
