Atrangi Re is a film that lives up to its name. It's a delightfully new, original love story directed by Aanand L Rai that so brilliantly bursts through the clutter. It's not at all like how we've imagined or seen love on screen in the past. The video goes into the relationships we cling to, the feelings we leave behind, the denial we often live in, and the acceptance that comes after a great deal of suffering. The story also makes a subtle reference to mental health, but it never becomes preachy. With sara ali khan, dhanush, and akshay kumar in the key parts, Atrangi Re has a stellar cast that can't go wrong.

Though you may expect a movie with enthusiastic stars like sara and Akshay to be a little over-the-top, the director achieves such a perfect balance that none of his characters overpower one other. Even the supporting cast members, such as Vishu's best friend (Ashish Verma) and Rinku's grandma (Seema Biswas), shine in their roles. sara is given the spotlight by Akshay, the superstar, while dhanush balances off her vigor.

The plot centers around Rinku sooryavanshi (Sara) and Vishu (Dhanush) who are forced to marry each other. They decide to go their separate ways on their journey to Vishu's village since they're not meant to be together—and also because Vishu is getting married in two days. Rinku has fallen in love with Sajjad Ali (Akshay Kumar). Aanand L Rai shows us how Rinku deals with the conflict of being in love with Sajjad while also having affections for Vishu in this film but in an unusual way.

After the music, Atrangi Re's screenplay is possibly one of its strongest points. Himanshu Sharma's work transports you to another universe, one where love has a new meaning. The scenes have been put together in such a way that they simultaneously make you cry and smile. Atrangi Re is devoid of any bollywood cinema tropes. It deviates from the tried-and-true template that we see in most love stories. It's not your typical love story between a boy and a girl. It's also not about a couple who was forced to marry and then decided to give their relationship a shot. It's much beyond anything you or I could imagine.

At the climax, you realize that the picture needed a lot more attention than you had been giving it up to that point. The plot moves along at a good clip, with no unnecessary subplots. Though, to be honest, I would have liked to learn more about Vishu's family, his parents, and his fiance. That, I believe, would have helped us to connect with him more easily, as we do with Rinku's sara ali khan is at the top of the cast list in Atrangi Re's end credits, followed by dhanush and then Akshay Kumar. sara is the heart and spirit of the picture, and she maintains her position throughout. akshay kumar, who plays a magician in the film, lends the plot a Midas touch by playing a vital part. Call it a prolonged cameo or whatever you want to call it, he doesn't let it hinder his on-screen performance.

Last but not least, the music in Atrangi Re is pure gold, thanks to AR Rahman's compositions and background score, as well as Irshad Kamil's lyrics. Each song creates a distinct feeling that you want to take home with you.
