The lawsuit filed by actress Ranjita seeking a retrial in a case involving the release of a video showing her being near to Nithyananda has been adjourned until february 16 by the chennai High Court. A video of Pita Ashram head Nithyananda and actress Ranjita being close aired on private (Sun) TV. The Nithyananda Meditation Faculty's administration has filed a complaint with the chennai Police Department, stating that he was extorting money by presenting a film depicted utilising current technology. 

The CPCID has filed many cases against Lenin, Iyappan, and Aarti Rao based on this complaint. A lawsuit was brought by the group. The case is currently underway in Chennai's 11th criminal Arbitration court in Saidapet. In the karnataka State Sessions court, actress Ranjita menon has filed a petition demanding a retrial of the case, an e-mail exchange between Arthrao and Bhardwaj, and a re-investigation of the morphing video tape.

A request was filed on behalf of Ranjita to hold a direct hearing on the issue when it came up for hearing before Judge nirmal kumar today. He then granted a direct hearing and rescheduled the case for february 16.
