Though both director Prashanth Neel and his hero yash declared in pre-release interviews and following the release of KGF: Chapter 1 that there is nothing more to give beyond kgf 2, things have changed dramatically. And during the end credits of KGF2, they've already hinted that there would be a kgf 3.

However, neither Prashanth nor yash ever mentioned a possible third instalment of the film, claiming that kgf 2 is the franchise's true logical and final conclusion. However, in a recent interview with a major hollywood entertainment website, hero yash acknowledged that kgf 3 is a possibility because they still have a lot of stories to tell the viewers. "While filming kgf 2, we realised there was a lot more to tell the public, and we've left enough pieces and hints that a Part 3 will be released. But, for the time being, we've closed it up with kgf 2, we're sure there will be a third part, though we can't say when," yash said.

Another intriguing remark made by yash is that he confirmed that indian cinema is at its peak right now, with the entire country becoming a single area for films like kgf (and RRR), and added, "The world is now our territory." We've exhausted the domestic market and will shortly look into the global market."
