12 party MPs moved over to chief minister Eknath Shinde's group on tuesday, exactly one month after a mutiny among 40 shiv sena MLAs on june 20 dealt embattled party President uddhav thackeray yet another devastating blow. Shrikant (Eknath) Shinde, rahul Shewale, bhavana Gawali, hemant Godse, Rajendra Gavit, Sadashiv Lokhande, hemant Patil, Sanjay Mandlik, Dhairyasheel Mane, Shrirang Barne, Krupal Tumane, and Prataprao Jadhav are among the MPs who have sided with the Shinde camp.

Shinde announced on tuesday in delhi that he has 12 shiv sena MPs on board to work for Maharashtra's advancement and development in the public interest. The shiv sena Parliamentary party Group in the Lower house issued a letter to this effect, he continued, after the 12 MPs met with lok sabha Speaker Om Birla. bhavana Gawali is now the party's main whip in the lok sabha, while rahul Shewale is the new leader of the shiv sena group, according to Shinde.

The cm further stated that all 18 shiv sena MPs in the lok sabha will now be subject to the whips issued by Gawali. The change occurred a month after the maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) administration of the Shiv Sena-Nationalist congress Party-Congress, led by then-CM uddhav thackeray, was overthrown on june 29 by a Shinde-led mutiny of about 40 shiv sena MLAs, plus 10 Independents and others. On june 30, Shinde took the oath of office as chief minister, while bjp ally devendra fadnavis did likewise as Deputy CM.
