Fake jobs rackets targeting IT skilled youth...


The government of india has warned the youth about fake jobs related to the IT sector abroad. After the case of more than 100 indian youths being taken to Myanmar on the pretext of jobs in thailand, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory asking people to be alert. The Ministry of External Affairs said that if you get an attractive job offer from thailand or other countries, then check and test it properly.


The Ministry of External Affairs said that lucrative job offers are being offered to woo indian youth for 'Digital Sales and Marketing Executive' positions in thailand and Myanmar. These rackets are being operated by call centres and IT firms suspected of cryptocurrency fraud.


60 people still trapped in Thailand-Myanmar

The ministry said that many such cases have come to the fore in the past in which youth working in the IT sector from india were sent to Myanmar on the pretext of jobs. The government of india has rescued 32 youths trapped in Myanmar from these clutches. While efforts are still being made to rescue 60 other people trapped in the same area in Thailand-Myanmar.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that indian citizens have been asked to exercise extreme caution before taking up jobs in Thailand. The government has advised indian youth to beware of fake job offers received through social media platforms or other sources and to investigate them thoroughly.

The government of india in its advisory said, “Indians are advised to check/verify the credentials of foreign employers through the respective Missions abroad before travelling on tourist/visit visas for employment purposes. Before making a job offer, do an in-depth investigation of the recruiting agents as well as the company offering the job."
