The bharatiya janata party, which has been standing up for Amaravati's farmers and opposing the administration of Y S jagan Mohan Reddy's three capitals plan for the past few days, has abruptly shifted course and begun targeting the telugu Desam Party. On Tuesday, bjp state president somu veerraju accused former chief minister and tdp president N chandrababu naidu of being to blame for the deplorable condition of affairs in amaravati and said that he was the reason why farmers from amaravati resorted to the streets to demand the capital city.

In his speech to a crowd in Guntur, Veerraju claimed that Naidu was to blame for the farmers of Amaravati's current situation and that he was now funding their padayatra for political reasons. He claimed that despite receiving sufficient funding from the Centre throughout his five-year term, Naidu was unable to fully develop the nation's capital. He claimed that Naidu was to blame for the people of Andhra Pradesh's lack of a capital city. According to the bjp state president, of the Rs 6,500 crore that the nda government at the Centre released for the development of amaravati, Rs 2,500 crore were released all at once.

What happened to the money? He questioned, "Why couldn't Naidu build the capital city? Veerraju charged Naidu with squandering time and resources by travelling to nations like Singapore, Japan, and malaysia while deceiving the populace with visuals and an imagined world. He criticised the fact that "still, he could not undertake any works relating to the capital city, but the money provided by the Centre went exhausted." He recalled that the Center had invested Rs 1,800 crore in the construction of the All india Institute of Medical Sciences in Mangalagiri. What is wonderful? A nonexistent capital that wasn't constructed by chandrababu naidu or the Centre, like the AIIMS, he questioned.
