As the conflict between israel and Hamas approaches its one-month anniversary, the Israeli army kept up its intense shelling of Gaza, especially in the north. Palestinian sources report that an Israeli shelling on Gaza's Maghazi camp on saturday night resulted in the deaths of at least 51 Palestinians, the majority of whom were women and children, and several injuries. In the meantime, the US declared that in order to provide aid to Gaza, they are aggressively seeking a rapid ceasefire.

As the attack rages, the health Ministry in Gaza, operated by Hamas, reports that over 9,400 Palestinians have lost their lives in the region. At least 140 people have died in fighting between israel and Hamas in the West Bank.
