As the release date approaches, the film's producers are hard at work on the last leg of marketing, which includes the release of the film's audio, interviews, and other activities. In the most recent update, Sivakarthikeyan discussed his experience working on Ayalaan in an interview with Galatta Plus. The actor stated that he and R. ravikumar have been discussing the project since its start in 2016.

Sivakarthikeyan explained in the interview that when R. ravikumar initially approached him, it was only a concept that an extraterrestrial would visit India. It expanded from there to a 30-minute script, then to a one-hour narration, a script book, and more. He also discussed the challenges they had throughout the film's development, such as the producer's financial difficulties and the influence COVID-19 had on the production.

However, the Maaveeran actor noted that everything worked out for the better because the time allowed them to include cutting-edge technology. He further stated that the film will present the viewers with a one-of-a-kind experience. Sivakarthikeyan also discussed his difficulties with acting in this film, which he attributed to the lack of a physical body as the extraterrestrial. Furthermore, the alien's eye line would be at a different level than that of a human, which would take some time to acclimatize to. He also said that the performers developed a routine in which they would do at least two takes on each shot.

The doctor actor also stated that the process of filming Ayalaan taught everyone involved a lot and that certain things might have been done more efficiently. The actor stated that they now know how to approach the film's sequel, and that if Ayalaan does well, there will undoubtedly be a sequel.
