Dil Raju was excited to premiere his forthcoming film "Family Star" on Sankranthi 2024, starring vijay deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur and directed by Parasuram. Given the film's family-friendly premise, the original idea was to take advantage of the holiday season. However, due to outstanding filming and post-production work, fulfilling the Sankranthi deadline became difficult. Given the scheduling restrictions, the team opted to postpone the release to the first quarter of 2024. Vijay Deverakonda, who is likewise seeking a big hit, recommended against hurrying the process and backed the choice.

Now that the Sankranthi decision is out, it appears like "Family Star" may have squandered a good opportunity. Throughout the event, Prashanth Varma's "Hanu Man" stood out as the clear victor. Mahesh Babu's film performed moderately well, owing primarily to the christmas season. Unfortunately, unfavorable word of mouth harmed its box office chances significantly. Venkatesh's "Saindhav" turned out to be a flop, having no excellent openings. Nagarjuna's "Naa Saami Ranga" is performing well, particularly in B and C centers.

Given the conditions, it is claimed that if "Family Star" had been included in the Sankranthi program, it may have capitalized on the festive season, given the lackluster reception to previous releases. Sankranthi can easily handle two blockbusters, and this year, "Hanu Man" was the only one, leaving the second place open. "Family Star" had the potential to become the second blockbuster with excellent reviews, but the choice to delay its release may have cost Vijay devarakonda and the Family Star crew a wonderful chance.
