Mayank Agarwal, India's opener and karnataka captain, was transported to a local hospital after feeling unwell just before his flight to New delhi took off on Tuesday, an act that startled the cricket fraternity as the player filed an official police report claiming foul play. He is considered to be safe after sipping liquid from a pouch that he mistook for water and being confined in his seat on indigo Airlines.

Agarwal made a formal complaint to the police through his management. He is now stable, with normal vitals. However, his management has filed a special complaint with NCCPS (New capital Complex police Station) to examine the incident," said SP West Tripura kiran Kumar.

When asked for more information, the senior detective added: "His manager stated that there was a bag in front of him while he was seated on the aeroplane. He drank a little amount, but there was discomfort in his mouth, and he couldn't communicate, so he was sent to ILS hospital. He experienced edoema and ulcers in his mouth. Otherwise, his vital signs are steady.

Kiran Gitte, the state health secretary, adding, "Police have acknowledged his allegation, and we will examine what transpired. According to his management, he will fly to Bengaluru tomorrow; in the meanwhile, we will offer him with the best care possible in Agartala."

On behalf of ILS Hospital, Manoj Kumar Debnath, manager of business Development, released a press statement indicating that the batsman was "experiencing some oral irritation and swelling on his lips."

"He was admitted after being assessed by the hospital's emergency consultants." He is now clinically stable and under ongoing clinical monitoring."

Agarwal, who has played 21 Tests for India, guided karnataka to a 29-run victory over Tripura.

"Agarwal is not under any danger. He is now under observation at a hospital in Agartala, and we will fly him back to Bengaluru once we receive an update from the doctors, which we expect tonight," a karnataka State cricket Association (KSCA) official told PTI on condition of anonymity.
