A new investment opportunity has emerged for mutual fund investors, as mahindra Manulife Mutual Fund has introduced a new fund that offers investors the advantage of long-term capital gains tax, along with a diverse portfolio. The mahindra Manulife Multi Asset Allocation Fund was opened for subscription on february 20 and is scheduled to close on march 5. After this initial period, the fund will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase from march 15, 2024.

The fund aims to cater to investors looking to invest across different asset classes, including equity, debt, and gold/silver ETF units. It emphasizes regular rebalancing of asset allocation by fund managers to adapt to changing market dynamics. The fund's strategy is to provide a diversified portfolio, offering the stability of fixed income, growth potential of equities, and long-term capital gains tax benefits with indexation.

Anthony Heredia, MD and CEO of mahindra Manulife Investment Management, suggests that the mahindra Manulife Multi Asset Allocation Fund can be a valuable addition to every investor's portfolio. The fund allows investors to access multiple asset classes, including equity, debt, and gold/silver ETFs, in a single product.

Investors have the flexibility to choose between SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) and lump-sum investment options. The fund's investment strategy involves combining multiple approaches while selecting different asset classes. For equity and equity-related instruments, the fund will follow both top-down and bottom-up methods, while debt investment decisions will be made for debt. This provides investors with an opportunity for systematic and disciplined investment through SIPs or lump-sum investments based on individual preferences and financial goals.

It's important to note that all investments in mutual funds come with inherent risks, and investors should carefully consider their risk tolerance and financial objectives. Seeking advice from financial experts before making investment decisions is always advisable.
