State intelligence sources told india Herald that congress leader vikramaditya Singh, who resigned as a himachal pradesh minister and expressed dissatisfaction within the party, visited chandigarh and met with the six rebel MLAs who were disqualified for voting for the bjp in the rajya sabha election.

On Thursday, the dissident MLAs who employed cross-voting to lead congress candidate abhishek Manu Singhvi to an unexpected loss were declared ineligible. They now want to file a challenge to their disqualification with the High Court. This occurred despite the fact that state congress chief and mother of vikramaditya Singh, Pratibha Singh, told india Herald in an exclusive interview that it is "too early" to declare the crisis over. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of himachal pradesh, has managed to contain the situation for the time being.

• Chief of the himachal pradesh congress Pratibha Singh stated that during the crisis there were "certain issues which could not be decided" in an exclusive interview with india Herald on Thursday, february 29. She so said that it would take some time before she is in a "comfortable position" to declare that the administration led by her party "will last (five years)".

• After speaking with each party MLA separately, DK Shivakumar, bhupinder singh Hooda, and Bhupesh Baghel, the central observers for the congress, said that all disagreements had been resolved and that Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu would continue to serve as the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh.
 
• Six congress MLAs have been dismissed for casting a stray ballot in favour of bjp candidate Harsh Mahajan. Among them are Sudhir Sharma, Rajinder Rana, Devinder Kumar Bhutoo, Chetanya Sharma, ravi Thakur, and Inder Dutt Lakhanpal.

• Congressman vikramaditya Singh tendered his resignation and left his position as a minister for himachal pradesh, citing his sense of being "humiliated" and "sidelined" by his own party. There were speculations that he might join the bjp, but he subsequently declared that he would not submit his resignation until he had had a conversation with the leaders of his party.
 
• • Because of his close ties to the royal family, reports claim that former punjab chief minister Captain amarinder singh was assigned by the bjp to "look over" the entire himachal pradesh problem. According to further sources, he enabled the six congress MLAs and the three Independents who supported the bjp in the rajya sabha elections to frequently take helicopter rides.
