Hyderabad, known as the "city of pearls," has ordered an astounding 13 million or more Biryanis in the past 12 months, making it the city with the highest number of orders nationwide. hyderabad, which according to statistics from the online meal delivery service swiggy has emerged as India's "capital" of biryani, will also host a "special Biryani feast" from march 15 to 17 to meet demand, the business said. 

Hyderabad is the indian city that orders one out of every five Biryanis, making it the most popular meal in the nation, according to Swiggy. Additionally, swiggy data revealed that in 2023, 2.5 biryanis were ordered on average per second.

According to a press release from swiggy, "Swiggy is hosting a Biryani Fest from march 15 to march 17, offering up to 60% off on all the leading Biryani brands to celebrate the city's love of the dish." It further said that more than 1,700 eateries will be taking part in the initiative. According to swiggy, out of the 13 million Biryanis that were ordered in the previous year, the most popular orders were for chicken Biryani, which was followed by Veg, chicken Dum, and Mutton Biryani.
