BJP mla T raja Singh was not allowed to participate in the wednesday ram Navami parade by the municipal police. The mla was notified by the police that his authorization request had been denied. On february 14, raja Singh sent an application to the Commissioner of police in Hyderabad.

However, the Sri ram Navami Shobha yatra Committee will conduct the other major procession from the Seetarambagh temple as normal. Raja Singh responded to the news by stating that he has been conducting the Sri ram Navami Shobha yatra since 2010 and that only this year, for an unspecified reason, the authorities had refused him permission.
