The four-time mla Kodali nani of the ysr congress Party (YSRCP) will face a fierce battle in the gudivada assembly constituency in the 2018 ap elections as the telugu desam party (TDP) has selected Venigandla Ramu, an NRI, as their candidate. In andhra pradesh, gudivada is significant because, in 1983 and 1985, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), the founder of the tdp and a former chief minister, won twice from this constituency.
 
Renowned social media personality Kumari Aunty vigorously endorsed tdp candidate Venigandla ramu in gudivada town, highlighting the significance of the nda alliance's triumph in stopping injustices. Kumari Aunty likened Venigandla ramu to Mahesh Babu's role in the film maharshi during her campaign. According to Kumari Aunty, Venigandla ramu possesses kindness, much like Mahesh Babu's character in the film Maharshi. She feels that ramu assists people in real life, much like the character in the film, emphasizing his commitment to helping the residents of gudivada, where progress has been slow for the previous fifteen years.

She underlined how crucial Venigandla ramu is to enhancing gudivada, particularly in terms of employment creation. She said that there had been neglect under Kodali Nani's leadership in the past, forcing individuals like her to seek work in neighbouring states. However, she supports Ramu's intentions to hire educated individuals. Kumari Aunty advised voters to cast their ballots for Vallabhaneni Balashowry, an MP, and Venigandla Ramu, an mla, by using the glass and cycle symbols, respectively. She emphasised that in order to better gudivada and assist its citizens, support for the nda coalition is essential.
